A Motability machine is maintained under contract for its whole life, then handed back — often barely used, because the person’s needs changed. That is a very different thing from a private sale off the internet.
Every Motability machine is serviced annually for its whole life, at no cost to the user. So they come back looked after, not neglected.
Plenty come back early because someone’s needs changed. A three-year machine with a few hundred miles on it is common.
Our own engineers go through every one — batteries load-tested, brakes and tyres checked, and a warranty on top.
With 200 machines a month passing through, most want-lists are answered within a fortnight. Popular models often the same week.

The best machines are prepared and sold here, to the same standard as anything else on our floor. The rest are still good — plenty of life left — but they are not showroom standard, and we would rather say so than blur the line.
